Celebrate the International Year of the Bird with two great programs this month. Les Tyrala and Christine Whitebread, leaders of the South Shore Bird Club, will lead a morning walk on Sunday, September 23rd, to look at some native sparrows, migrating shorebirds and the recently erected kestrel boxes. Then join us at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 25 at the Thomas Crane Main Library for a special showing of the video A Wing and a Care, by Shawn Carey of Migration Productions, who will be in attendance.
