The Minton Family and the Quincy Police Department will hold a community yard sale on Saturday, September 19th from 9am to 2pm at the Beechwood Knoll School.  All proceeds will benefit The Jimmy Fund.

Quincy's four candidates for Mayor met in the QATV studios for a debate, sponsored by QATV, The Patriot Ledger, and the Quincy Sun. Don't forget to cast your vote on Thursday, September 24th!

Each election, Quincy Access Television, in an effort to inform voters, offers each candidate appearing on the ballot an opportunity to address the citizens of Quincy for up to 5 minutes in a "message from the candidate."  The messages from the candidates for the preliminary election are now available on QATV's website at: www.qatv.org/election2015/messages.

Quincy Access Television, in conjunction with The Quincy Sun and The Patriot Ledger, will host a debate at the QATV studios for the four candidates running for mayor in the September 24th preliminary election.  The debate will premiere on QATV-8 on Thursday, September 10th at 8pm.  Replays are scheduled for September 10th at 10pm, September 11th at 12:30pm and various other times leading up to election day.  The debate will moderated by QATV's Mark Crosby.  Representatives from Quincy Access TV, The Quincy Sun and The Patriot Ledger will pose questions to the four candidates for response.

The Quincy DPW reminds residents that curbside trash and recycling collection will occur a day late the week of September 7th-12th due to the Labor Day holiday.

Quincy Access Television will hold is annual fall Open House on Saturday, September 12th from 10am-2pm at its studios located at 88 Washington Street in Quincy Center.  The public is welcome to take a tour of the facility (tours will be given throughout the event), learn more about public access television, the mission of QATV, and learn about upcoming classes and workshops.  Guests will also be able to tour QATV's new audio suite, the location where "AM Quincy w/ Joe Catalano" is produced every weekday from 6am-10am.

In observance of Independence Day, QATV will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.  QATV will reopen on Monday, July 6th and hold regular summer hours for the week.

Effective June 15, 2015, Quincy Access Television will begin its summer hours of operation.  QATV's summer hours are as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 10am-4pm

Summer hours will be followed until Labor Day (Monday, September 7th).

Tune into QATV-8 on Saturday, June 13th for live coverage of the 64th annual Quincy Flag Day parade!  Coverage will start at 7:15pm from QATV's location outside of Adams Field.  QATV's Bette Campbell and Joe Catalano will host the evening's coverage.  Replays of the parade, including the ceremony atop Pageant Field and the fireworks display, will air next week.
