QATV Celebrates 15 Years of Service to Quincy

Quincy Access Television marked its 15th anniversary with a celebration and member appreciation evening on May 4th at the Neighborhood Club of Quincy.  Members, contributors and friends of QATV gathered to mark the milestone by honoring producers, past and present, and to reflect on the past 15 years of service QATV has given to the City of Quincy.

Bill Earley Awarded Brian Wilson Mentor Award by ACM-NE

The Alliance for Community Media Northeast Region has named QATV's Bill Earley as the 2010 recipient of the Brian Wilson Mentor Award.  The award is presented annually to an individual who has taught, guided and mentored public access television producers to achieve their goal of producing local programming.  The award is named in memory of Brian Wilson, a long time public access television advocate, counselor and guide.

Blue Hills Observatory Weather Updates Featured on AM Quincy

Listeners of AM Quincy can now look forward to local weather reports thanks to the staff of the Blue Hill Observatory.  Each weekday at 9:30am, Climatologist Bob Skilling or Meteorologist Sean Fankhauser will join AM Quincy host Joe Catalano to discuss the weather of the past 24 hours, an outlook for the day, and a look ahead to the next few days.
